Summit Ridge Launches Green Campus Initiative
Summit Ridge High School has officially launched its Green Campus Initiative, a student-led movement aimed at making the school more sustainable. Projects include composting food waste, installing solar panels on the science building, and launching a no-plastic lunch campaign.
The Eco Club, in partnership with local nonprofit Earth Forward, will host monthly cleanups and education events.
“This is about students taking ownership of their future,” said club advisor Mr. Hayes.
Community members are invited to attend the Green Expo on May 15 to learn more.
